Event Details 60+ Water Exercise Date: 8/1/2008 until 12/31/2008 Time: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Location: South Iredell Senior Center (View Map) Description: SISC water aerobics, back, arthritis workouts, and water walking exercise classes are taught by certified instructors through Iredell County YMCA. Classes are open to all seniors age 60 or better with priority given to Iredell County residents. Information on guidelines and fees are available upon request. It is recommended that new participants observe their class of choice before registering. Private lessons are available for the disabled, visually or physically impaired. Our goal is to connect the homeschooling community in Charlotte with businesses and organizations that may have activities, events, and other opportunities to offer this growing population. We are extending this invitation not only to our group of 185 homeschooling member-families, but also to the entire Charlotte homeschool community! If you homeschool, this is a great opportunity for you to see what area businesses and organizations have to offer. If you are a business owner or leader of an organization that has something to offer homeschoolers, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase those offerings! What types of businesses and organizations will be participating? Here is a partial list of some of the participants: Discovery Place, the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, Historic Latta Plantation, Acting UP! Children's Theater and many others. We hope to have many tables from all kinds of businesses and organizations that not only showcase what they have to offer, but also provide some fun, interactive activities for the children who will be there. Some of the tables, for example, plan to offer raffles, contests, and free samples. Note: If you are interested in having a table at the fair, please contact us immediately. The charge is only $15 per 6' table. (Note that chairs are not provided, so please bring your own if you wish to sit).
